OTRCAT SAMPLER #3

I have been an enthusiastic client of OTRcat for well over a decade! OTRcat provides VERY inexpensive access to many Old Time Radio programs. A paltry $5 will usually purchase about EIGHTY (80!) half-hour old time radio shows! Example: I originally purchased 939 episodes of The Jack Benny Show, at a cost of only $45! (Since then, I have updated my original Jack Benny collection at a modest cost.) Then add (the radio version of) "Gunsmoke", starring Bill Conrad, and (radio) "Have Gun, Will Travel", plus "Our Miss Brooks", Orson Welles' "Black Museum" and "Harry Lime", and also "Suspense" and "The Great Gildersleeve", and... and... and on and on. If you are a fan of Old Time Radio, you will NEVER regret your OTRcat purchases...

I love these samplers. I get to find out about new shows I've never heard. I've been an OTR for 50 years. Good work!

A good CD that gives you a good select of different types of shows from the golden days of radio. Excellent value for money.

Another entertaining sampler disc. This one had a family sit com called The Anderson Family. Next was an episode of Anne of the Airlines. Finishing it up was a short comedy routine from The Black Crows. I guess I liked Anne of the Airlines the best. Ironically, Anne wasn't really in this particular episode.

I absolutely love these shows; very entertaining. I spend an hour and a half commuting each day. That's three half hour radio shows. With talk radio, just as you're getting into the topic, the commute's over. I also listen to these shows whilst doing Preventive Maintenance at work; they really make the time fly. I already have a lot of Old Radio shows, but these Samplers are a great way of getting quite a few shows that I may not already have. The other day, I listened to Gangbusters for the first time... very cool
