Spies and Counter-Spies. In many ways the war went on after VE and VJ day, but instead of soldiers and tanks the early Cold War was fought by spies.
In Secret Missions the Mutual Network presents dramatized stories of some of these spies and their intelligence victories. Secret Missions is dedicated to the men of the Office of Naval Intelligence, and is narrated by Vice Admiral Ellis M. Zacharias. The Admiral was the deputy director of Naval Intelligence during WWII. Many of the stories are from WWII, but there are also a number tales centered in the Iron Curtain countries in the early days of the Cold War. The program is somewhat similar to the OSS adventures detailed in Cloak and Dagger (1950).
This collection contains the only two known existing episodes of this rare series.
