Quarantined

Quarantines serve to keep people with diseases (or potentially disease) away from healthy populations to help halt the spread of bacteria and viruses. The word quarantine comes from the italian word trentino to quarantino. The history of quarantines dates back to Biblical times and perhaps earlier with sick homes made for people with leprosy. During the Bubonic Plague and Black Death, Venice required all ships to stay away from ports for 30-40 days.

Humanity has faced different threats from sickness and disease from Yellow Fever to Bubonic Plague to Cholera and through science, hygiene, and communal efforts we have prevailed.

• After Apollo Astronauts returned from the moon, they were placed in quarantine to avoid spreading any potential space germs.
• Horatio Hornblower gets stuck in quarantine after visiting Oran for supplies.
• The Mayor Of The Town Marilly's quarantined in a house with measles.
• The Family Doctor checks on patients in quarantine.
• In Peril, two sciences invent a "Purple Plague" and when one doctor escapes quarantine and threatens the entire city.
• In Burns and Allen, after Gracie Allen can't say no to every door-to-door salesman, George Burns gets a friend to nail a quarantine sign on their front door.
