In 1961, Terry Lee Jenkins and PAMS Company put out a full length 45 RPM to promote local towns around the country that was to be played in local radio markets. At first, radio stations were unsure about playing such a long jingle, but KNUZ in Houston had their song pressed and within the first week sold over 4,000 copies. The result was a hit that was heard all over the country but specific to the area. Here are some of these variations for your enjoyment. Who knows, your hometown just might be featured.
