I’ve been wanting to write to tell you for a while about your new otrcat website. Let me say I think it’s absolutely fantastic! Whoever redesigned it, is pure genius and should be given a lot of credit for making it so easy to find old shows to listen to. I have been a regular customer of yours now for about five years and probably check your website every couple of days to see what you’ve added. It totally amazes me that you keep finding new material. Before your redesign, I would load selected MP3 programs to my computer then transfer them to my iPod to play on the go. Now all I do is log on to your website with my password (on my iPhone) and choose from my ENTIRE library (from the last five years) whatever I decide I want to listen to at the moment. If I’m inside my house, I select AirPlay and play it through my Bose Sound Touch. Another feature I love is once your logged in, you can see exactly what shows you have purchased or need to upgrade. With the amount of shows I’ve bought over the years I sometimes forget what I have or don’t have!
Since I work a lot of hours, most of my time listening to old time radio is on my commute back and forth to work. I very rarely listen to broadcast radio anymore. They (OTR) make my morning and evening drive so much more tolerable. Since I was born after the so called Golden Age of Radio, they provide me with an insight into what our country was like in the 1930’s, 1940’s and 1950’s. What a fun way to learn history!
Thank you so much for providing this service to people who love old time radio. You definitely are ahead of the pack when it comes to packaging/presentation/website design and quality of sound. I can’t tell you how many hours of listening enjoyment you’ve given me over the years with these shows. I hope that you can continue for many more years as you have a very satisfied customer here who will definitely keep coming back for more!
I was so thrilled to be able to listen to this broadcast. I have been an Allen Ludden fan since I was a young girl in the late 60's and early 70's. Just recently I found out that he had this show, just another reason I admired this man. He was all about the youth, teaching them; his putting manners and respect in the forefront. Betty gets all the praise and attention, but Allen was equal to her in how he conducted himself and his values; he may not have had the acting talents or quick witted talents that Betty had, but he was very special. The two of them were a beautiful couple. I am thoroughly enjoying this radio show. Thank you!
