Soap Opera/ Crime Serial (June 23, 1941- March 13, 1942 and September 14, 1942 – March 26, 1954)

Front Page Farrell stars Richard Widmark (and from 1942-1954, Carleton Young) as David Farrell, a handsome star reporter for a top New York newspaper, "The Brooklyn Eagle. Florence Williams (later, Virginia Dwyer) plays Sally Farrell, David's office-romance-turned-wife.

The Farrells go on reporting gigs and solve cases galore. During WWII, the Office of War Information provided the themes for the shows. Later, shows included such excitement as suspicious blackmail and murderous mayhem!
