Old Time RadioDreadful John at Midnight is a horror/suspense radio show though it is not a traditional old-time radio show. Instead of using a script and actors, the host simply reads short stories by authors like Edgar Allen Poe and Ambrose Bierce.

The show broadcast from 1963 to 1967 on WKCR. At the end of each show, the host attributed the shows production to King's Crown Radio.

    I listened to it. The stories are better described as "unsettling" than straight horror.

    I found this little collection to be very good! Hits a little bit harder than some of the more tame "horror" shows and isn't afraid to get into some gore. I was pleasantly surprised and would recommend this for horror otr fans!
