Dr. Jerry Malone (played by Alan Bunch, Carl Frank, Charles Irving, and Sandy Becker who later had a children's show with puppets where he tried to remove the holes from Swiss cheese), his wife Ann (Elizabeth Reller), and daughter Jill (played by child impersonator Madeleine Pierce) live in the sweet little village of Three Oaks.

Jerry becomes crippled after a blood transfusion! Ann dies! Little Jill blossoms into a young woman and (the grande finale) gets married! Get out your hankies and put a shocked expression on your face, because the doctor is IN!
