Ranald MacDougallA three-time winner of Billboard's award for "Top Documentary Program, The Man Behind the Gun was a WWII program that brought stories from the front lines into the homes of eager ears in the United States. Created by the talented Ranald MacDougall, the show was "dedicated to the fighting men of the United States and the United Nations. The program was based on real stories, though names and characters were created for greater dramatized effect. Stories put the listener into the boots of those fighting Axis aggression, offering realistic and exciting stories of Americans and their allies at war.

    Great research! As a sidebar..."The Man Behind the Gun" is one series in particular which I wish had been better preserved. I guess I should be glad that we have ANY of them to enjoy, over seven decades later.
